How to Join

PHLA seeks to attract members from across the United States and globally.

Membership is not limited to individuals in the legal or public health professions. Anyone who makes the law, executes or administers it, practices or studies it, or finds interest in the law as a means to improve the public's health are encouraged to join.

The Association strives to provide opportunities for all members to learn and share ideas, best practices, and research on the fundamental connection between law and the protection, promotion, and preservation of the public's health.

To join the Association as a Full member, please link to the Membership Form below, include your annual dues in the amount of $50.00 via check or money order made payable to the “Public Health Law Association,” and return via mail to the address noted below. 

* Please note that any Full member who pays annual dues is entitled to a $50.00 discount on registration through ASLME for the upcoming National Public Health Law, Policy, and Research Conference in Atlanta, GA on September 13-15, 2010.

If you are a registered Student or otherwise cannot afford annual dues at the present time, please consider joining the Association as a non-voting “Honorary” member.  Honorary members may not vote in Association elections nor are they entitled to ASLME’s conference discount (mentioned above), but can receive and share PHLA news, updates, and information.
